Meal 1:
Lean Protein, 1/2 cup oatmeal
Meal 2:
Protein shake/Lean Protein (2 tbsp flax
Meal 3:
Veggies, Lean Protein
Workout
Meal 4:
PWO Nutrition
Meal 5:
Veggies, Lean Protein, 1/2 cup rice or oatmeal.
Meal 6:
Shake with Flax
That turns into approximately 300 grams protein, 130 grams Carbs, and 50 grams of fat.
I’m a firm believer that PWO nutrition is hands down the most important... A general rule of thumb is 40-60 grams whey protein, and double the amount of whey in carbohydrates (50% dextrose/50% maltodextrin).
So, if you have a 50g protein PWO shake, that means you need 100g of carbs in the PWO shake....yet this diet claims to only have 130 total?

Have I mentioned how much I love this site?
It seems like whatever workout/gear/diet questions I have when I search....BOOM there it is. So much information......so little time!!!
Thanks to everyone with knowledge who takes the time to post. When I'm ready to take the next step I'm sure I'll have some questions but for now it seems like all I need to do is seek and I shall find

very good post, i apparently had the cutting diet down by luck, cause it is very similar to the one i've used all my life and grew up on. lol, but the bulking education was helpful, this site rocks, and the people on here know some pretty helpful and useful stuff, just wanna say thanks.

8. Cardio- Cardio and cutting usually go hand in hand. I won't go into specifics about length, other than cardio shouldn't be excessive. 45 minutes to one hour daily should be sufficient, and should be performed on an empty stomach.
Would cardio after workout be as effective as soon as I wake up cardio?
-
06-16-2009, 04:55 AM #265
Wouldn't it be best to get your nutrients right after your workout than waiting after a 30-45 min cardio session?
I would not care to deprive my window of oppertunity for PWO shake.
I hate wake'n up earlie to hit the treadmill on an empty stomach, but worth it to me so I don't stall my efforts in the gym.
Can anybody comment on that??????

I am currently at 10.2% BF, I started 3 days into a diet I got out of the latest M&F where it's high protein, under 50 grams of carbs daily, no sugar or condiments. No yolks, whole grains, salad dressing, peanut butter or dairy. So far so good how long would it take my body to go into ketosis state? In the article it said not to stay on this diet for more than two weeks.

I am about to follow this diet. However, how can I consume one or more protein shakes and still lose weight? That does not make any sense to me. Obviously I have to continue to consume enough protein, but every protein powder I have ever seen or used has contained so much sugar and carbs.

12-15-2009, 08:54 AM #276
Great great post. I was wondering if the oatmeal could be replaced for something else??? Also how can i find out my LeanBodyMass or something so i can take the proteins accordingly??

OK so, I am not following.
If you work out first thing in the morning, what is the optimal time to wait to have a meal with carbs? You have a Pro/Fat meal after, how long do you keep burning from fat stores after cardio?
