What spices taste good on beef or mased potatoes?
I want to get away from salt. I like 'Cracker Girl' spice. I don't like 'Cracker Boy'
spice or 'Montreal Steak Spice'. They are too peppery tasting. Thank you

take a visit to your nearest indian or chinese market/supermarket etc. and get yourself a whole lotta whole spices. They keep for ages and being whole, you can grind them up as required and they have a hundred times more flavor than preprepared ones. This includes:
-cumin seeds
-coriander
-cloves
-star anise
-cinnamon bark
-cardamon
-chilli flakes/powder
-garam marsala (indian spice mixture)
-fenugreek
-fennel seeds
Mix and match, its actually a lot of fun.

on beef = Lawry's steak sauce. just tried it like it better than A1, and goes great on burgers as well.
on my mashed = garlic powder

I use a bottle of dehydrated onion and chives for mashed potatoes - Mmm Mmm Good!
