Liver
Does anyone have any good liver recepies? I can get it very cheap and its a decent protein source I recon.
20% protein and 3,5% of fat and carbs both.
To bad it usualy tastes like utter shit

1 lb. liver, beef
1 large onion, sliced
2 Tbls. butter
l Tbls. vinegar
1 Tbls. worcestershire
1 Tbls. brown sugar
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1/4 cup catsup
1 Tbls. water
salt ∧ pepper to taste
Cut liver in 1 in. strips. Place in a baking pan.
Saute onions in butter until brown. Place onions on liver.
Mix the remaining ingredients and spoon the sauce over liver and onions.
Bake covered in a 325 degree F. oven for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake for 10 minutes longer.

Liver is slow cooked with tomatoes and vegetables.
INGREDIENTS:
* 1 1/2 to 2 pounds beef or calves liver, cut in cubes
* 3 to 4 slices bacon, diced
* 2 small carrots, sliced
* 2 ribs celery, chopped
* 1/4 cup chopped onion
* 1 can (14.5 ounces) stewed tomtoes
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon pepper
PREPARATION:
Place liver in slow cooker; sprinkle with diced bacon. Combine the remaining ingredients and pour over all. Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours. Remove bay leaf before serving. Serves 4 to 6.

they both sounds good but the first one is a bit to unhealthy I guess but Il give the second one a try for sure.

I love liver, I only eat pork liver, dont think I ever tried beef liver though, but the way the parentals do it is the best, cooked and then dipped in a sauce olive oil, vinegar and chopped garlic.

i got a bad ass one

1lb liver
4 cloves fresh garlic
3 medium tomatoes
1/2 tbs ground Cummin (some greenish spice)
2 tbs olive oil
S&P
steps:
cut gralic thin slices (as thin as possible)
cut tomatoes into small cubes
heat up the olive oil in a frying pan (don't over heat)
put on the garlic and the tomatoes and the S&P and the Cummin
mix very will for 5 mins. on medium fire
