    My "Sugar Cake" recipe

    Hi,

Here's my very simple recipe for a "sugar cake", as it is traditionally called in many scandinavian countries, I believe. I used to bake these when I was bulking, instead of going out to buy candy or other junk, so I modifed a recipe for a traditional "sugar cake" and made it more healthy.

    It consists of this:

    3 Eggs
    3dl Wheat-flour
1dl Milk / or water (doesn't really matter, but milk gives a better texture)
    3dl Maltodextrin
1/2dl Sugar / Vanilla sugar (this step can be skipped - also doesn't really matter, something else could be added for taste - such as the shell of a citrus)
    2 Tablespoons of baking soda

    Those are the ingredients.

Here's how you bake it, very simple:

Whilst doing the cake put the oven on 170-180C and when the oven is heated and the mixture above has been whipped together, pour it into a mould and let it stay in the oven for approximately 35-40 minutes.

    He he, enjoy.

Is this like a meringue? I would like to try this but can't figure out the "dl" measurement you indicate for the milk,
    maltodextrin, and sugar.

Yes, I guess it is somewhat related to meringues. Do you not have measuring cup's at all which are marked "1 deciliter", "2 deciliter", and so on and so forth?

Ok, so its deciliters..no, don't have a measuring cup with dl, but easy enough to convert using 1 dl= .42 cups (or approx half cup). Thanks for the recipe, will try it as soon as my diet allows for some carbs again.
