    High Heat Steak

Ok guys, not sure if this is a "healthy recipe" but I had seen it on tv and decided to try it.

    Preheat oven to 450-500
    Lightly oil cast iron skillet

take your steak and season/ i use mrs. dash myself with some red pepper
Now have flame turned all the way up and wait for skillet to pretty much start smoldering
Place steak on skillet and don't touch it. Leave it there for about 30 seconds to a minute
    flip and repeat
Now take skillet and all and place it in center of oven for about 10-15 minutes (depending on how youl ike your steak)

Remove from oven and place steak on plate and let stand for 3-5 minutes.

If done correctly you'll have a very juicy. moist steak with a slightly crispy coating.
I did mine last night and it turned out pretty damn good. The first time I treid this though I set off evry smoke detector in the house, so be carefull!

That is the best way to cook steak. Searing in the best way to cook meat IMO. Must let the meat stand before you cut into it, that will let the juices settle and they won't all come out when you cut into it.

Yup, I know that if I can't cook it on a grill I'll be doing it this way from now on.

I said sometimes.....like on Christmas morning or just occasionally. I don't miss the shoveling and all the crap that comes with it.
