    Thumbs up almond milk

    1. soak 1 cup of raw almonds in water overnight

    2. drain almonds, add 1 litre of water to blender along with almonds (a vanilla bean or some vanilla extract/essence can be added), blend for 1-2 minutes

    3. pass liquid through a strainer/sieve

and then you'll have about a litre of almond milk keep in fridge for up to a week.
its better and cheaper than buying the long life almond milk, they add sugar and preservatives to it.
and its great for using it in your protein shakes, or with oats instead of water :P

    enjoy

and as for macros, they would be around:

    850 cals
    78g fat
    7g carbs
    28g protein

per litre, so if you had 1 cup per serve it would be approximately:

    210 cals
    20g fat
    2g carbs
    7g protein

I am not sure on the process that companies use to make it but the store bought version I get is 30cal per cup. Can you comment on the difference?

Also I made some but yet to try it

lol they would probably be using say, 1 cup of almonds to 7 litres of water... spose you could do that if you wanted.

and then they would probably add extra almond flavor extract to it, to make up the difference in taste.

almond milk from the store only has 1 gram protein per 8 oz. serving. you might as well use water to mix a protein shakes. its a hell of a lot less expensive.

    made oat milk today

basically the same method except you don't soak the oats in water overnight (not really necessary with the almonds either)

That sounds slightly gross... oats and water are not my favourite anyway! What macro's you get out of this?

lol yea.. but when mixed into a protein shake, its ok.... i just seen oat milk in the shops and thought id give it a go

    macros: Oats - 1 cup uncooked - 300 cal - 54g c - 10g p - 5g f

i put 1 litre of water and 1 cup of oats in the blender, so per cup of oat milk, macros would be:

    75 cals - 13.5g c - 2.5g p - 1g f
