how do you do oats with eggs?

I'm wondering if anyone has a good way to cook and mix my steel cut oats with eggs and sausage. I thought about just tossing it all together but I haven't tried it yet. Anyone have some input?

Thanks! Was kinda looking to have it all in a quick "power meal" just for the fact that I'm up at 5 am trying to cook and hurry out the door and usually eat on the run. I might try just throwing my eggs and turkey sausage together like I do. Then while once my oats cook mix it all together.

Crock pot? put all the ingredients in together, stir it up. The starch from the oats & the eggs will prob make it set up pretty solid but I think we could fix that. Are you going to make it on the sweet side or the savory?

Agreed! I went ahead and made it this morning
    2oz lean turkey sausage
    3 whole eggs
    2 egg whites
    1/2 cup (uncooked) oats

Just cooked my oats then when they were about done I browned up the sausage then added the eggs and scrambled it all up.
Then poured it all into a big bowl and stirred it all up!
    Not bad at all!!

Interesting! Do you cook the oats separate from the eggs or all together?

I do love salsa on my eggs!!

all together in one microwave bowl. I do break up the egg by stirring in the water. water will turn milky white. salsa gives it a nice flavor. salsa is added AFTER finished cooking

excellent quick meal, doesn't taste too bad.

Are you using rolled oats or steel cut? Seems like steel cut wouldn't be very cooked in only 5 min

16 oz milk or water, 1 cup raw oats, half a carton egg whites and 1 scoop protein. Blend it up and slam it down!
