Low carb tortilla ideas
I just bought these from netrition.com and let me tell you they are the best things to ever happen for a dieter. The small ones have 11g carbs, 8 fiber..the big ones have 19g carbs, 14g fiber. They make awesome wraps and quesadillas. Here are a couple ideas w/nutrition info:
Chicken Quesadilla:
2 oz grilled chicken breast, cut up
1 large low carb tortilla
1/4 cup fat free cheddar cheese
chopped scallions
1/8 cup canned tomatoes w/green chiles
1-2 tbs. light sour cream for dipping
real simple...put the tortilla in a non-stick skillet, add everything else to one side of it, fold it over...plate it, cut it into 4 wedges, and eat. sooo yummy
243 cals, 35g protein, 22 carbs, 14 fiber, 6.8 fat, 1.7 saturated fat
Buffalo Chicken wrap:
2oz grilled chicken breast
red hot sauce
1/4 cup fat free cheddar
lettuce & tomato
Roll all ingredients into a large low carb tortilla
Pesto Chicken wrap:
2oz grilled chicken breast
1/4 cup fat free mozzarella
basil mixed w/just 2 good mayo
tomato
Roll all ingredients into a large low carb tortilla
The wraps have similar nutrition fact as the quesadilla...and they're all a welcome addition to my usually bland healthy diet.

My personal favorite.
Low Carb tortillas.
Turkey Pepperoni (use as much as you think you need. 1 package is good enough for my wife and me.)
Green Pepper (optional, diced)
Red Onion (optional, diced)
Black Olives (optional)
Mushrooms (optional)
Sautee ingredients in pan with a small amount extra virgin olive oil. When cooked to an acceptable level (veggies soft) Place on tortillas and add:
Low fat or Fat free Mozzerella (if your diet permits)
Pizza or spaghetti sauce
Mrs. Dash
Garlic.
I made these about a month ago and can't get enough of them, though I only eat them once a week max. Mark

Is the brand Tortilla Factory? I have used those, they have the same carb and fiber count and are advertised as very low carbs. I have found them at the local supermarkets. In fact, they're getting easier to find.

Don't worry, they're awesome...they really don't taste much different from regular tortillas. I think they're a lot better than the low-carb subway wraps. They're not all chewy and ****.
