bubbles in my buddies urine, any thoughts??

just got off the phone with my bro and he had asked me if I had ever had bubbles in my urine. He said that it looked like Dish soap was poured into it or something. My first guess is it's his kidneys, because my girls dad had kidney problems and he had the same thing. The only difference is, my buddies back or kidneys have never bothered him. What are your thoughts?

no, he didnt cum within an hour of pissing. Here is the deal, he is 48 years old, he is running 12 iu GH eod,30iu slin/day, around 30-40mg of var a day, some EQ(the dosage I'm not exactly sure) and he just got off some sustanon. He says that his piss is really bubbly, like somebody dumped dish soap in it or something. However, he also says that his water consumption has been lower lately, like MAYBE a half gallon/day. I told him it's probably a protien buildup in his kidneys but I dont know enough to put my finger on it. I just told him to kick his water up to 1-1.5 gallons/day and if it doesnt get better in a few days drop his orals, then if its still not better doctor.

If there is blood in the urine it is thick and will bubble on impact with the water. I peed pure blood on dbol. Not dark urine, not cloudy. I woke up and took my morning piss, and it looked like something in a horror movie. Pure blood. There was some bubbling, but for the most part it went to the bottom of the toilet bowel.

The bubbles that you get in the bowl from pissing that look like dish soap bubbles are normal. If you get bubbles in your stream of urine after its coming out of your junk and before it hits the bowl then you have a problem. There was a big article in the paper a few months ago by me about a local doctor who had this problem and when I heard about the bubbles I freaked and went to the doctor. He explained to me what I just told you. Hope that helps.

This is true, frothy urine is often a red flag towards kidney involvment, and your friends should definitely see a physician. However, please be advised that frothy urine is not always a detremental sign. There are many other causes of bubbly/frothy urine that are in no way problematic, ie sugar in the urine in a controlled diabetic, because essentially any molecule of relatively large size, will decrease the surface tension enabling bubbles to form.

The one thing that gets me wondering is that he has no lower back involvement as that is often associated with what you mentioned. So it really leaves me puzzled in that respect. Hope all goes well with him.
