The attached chart illustrates a test enanthate cycle of 500mg week. The blue line is the blood levels of a person injecting 250mg on Mondays and 250mg on Thursdays throughout the entire cycle. Look how long it takes to reach maximum test-e at which point it stays there, stabalized (the assumed half-life of test enanthate is 10.5 days): 5 weeks!
Now look at the red line. The red line is the same cycle, except that the first injection is 1000mg. Thereafter, each injection is 250mg. As you can see, the blood levels are essentially maximum and stable from the first shot on. You've gotten a jump-start of 4+ weeks by frontloading with an extra 750mg.
