i just got back into running today since i have a running test comming up, endurance aint too bad buy my shins and calves cramp up hard. anybody have any suggestions on a quick fix. test is in april

Stretch be4 you run. Stand on some stairs with the balls of your feet supporting your weight and your heels off. Come down on your heels so your toes are higher. This will stretch your calf well. Run on level ground that isn't concrete. Get some good running shoe that have lots of cushion or some good insoles. I prefer the gel pads for the heels.Make sure you are using good form to run. Don't run out of form as you get tired. I am used to be a avid runner be4 my injury. I ran 1 mile everyday and shin splints were a common thing for me. I found all of the above to cure these.
