    Brain Injury and desperate

Crazy story...Three weeks ago I got in a fight with two kids that were starting shit with people outside of a club. During the fight I hit the back of my head on the edge of a wall, but I thought I was alright. Due to constant headaches and extreme dizziness I went to the hospital the next day to find out that I had a minor hemmorage in the frontal lobe because my brain hit the front of my skull upon impact. I'm 5"7 and I went in weighing 170 at about 9% bf. Three weeks later I'm at 165 and about 13%. The symptoms have subsided, but they told me that I will not be able to workout for the next two months. I'm just lucky that I'll ever workout again. I'm very depressed at how my body looks from eating like shit and I would appreciate any help. How can I keep from losing any more muscle during this time?? How should my calories be because I do not want to gain more fat?? I would just like to lean out as much as possible without losing much muscle. Thank you guys.

I would not lift due to the stress/strain you put on the brain (inside of the head pressure) when you lift and exert energy.

I'd make sure to NOT eat like shit, eat as clean as you ever have and even more-so. Not sure if cardio would be okay to do at a low pace, seems like it would be okay, but then again I am not a doctor.

Maintenance would be fine, and some cardio if/when you can at the permission of your professional health care advisor.

minor hemmorage is kinda of a concussion they are not fun but one thing you have to keep in mind is that you will get better and things will come back to you..I would try to keep as postive as possible it is hard but it is a good way tp speed recovery.

Yeah, we're talking about your brain here, so definitely err on the side of caution for sure and clear all activity through your doc.

hey bro first of sorry to hear what happened to you

i work as a security guard at clubs and casinos Ive seen some people who weren't as lucky as you and will never have a chance to work out ever again and allot of other things as well

so stop being depressed and start being happy you got off very good if you ask me!!!!

    as for the rest

    just eat clean for maintenance

and there is a reason why they (MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS)!!!! said no lifting so just sit tight and focus on recovery and when you get back youl be as good as new

in closing all the best and i wish you a speedy recovery bro.

    take care.

sorry to hear about the situation.....

Your BF went up from 9% - 13% in 3 weeks?

Seems like a lot, is this common when people stop working out and eat like shit for one month?

    Scary....

But play it safe and good luck with the recovery.

    best of luck in recovery!!
Remember muscle memory. When you can hit the weights again the fat will melt and the muscles will blow up
