It is 220 - your age X .75 is the % target you are looking for.

Sorry I misunderstood what you were asking.. You should try to get a good heart monitor. I got one at the sports store for about $35 made by polar. Trying to count as you go will not work very well.

Not sure about your other question you might ask that in the supplement section.. come to think of this your main question should be in the workout area too.

You can't base your target HR on speed of the tready each person is way different. If you are in great cardio shape you may have to run at 6.0 to get your heart rate to 75% and if you are a fat pig like me you only have to get up on the treadmill to hit 75%

Now to go further if you are looking to lose FAT don't run you want to avoid the excess impact running does so walking faster and at an incline is best IMO. You want to get your HR up to 65-75% and stay there for 45 minutes.

Now again that might make you have to walk really fast to get to that rate but someone else might just have to move a little because of being in poor shape.

That is whay you do not want to run you can break down muscle too fast IMO. Now if you have to run to get your HR up you should look at doing at an incline or do something else to add more resistance like a backpack with weights.

Being on cycle does not have anything to do with it if you are breaking down muscle too much you are going against what you are trying to get done.

I don't think I fully understand but here goes. If you are asking if being on cycle would cause you not to be catabolic if you are running or whatever than the answer I would guess would be no. AAS does not protect your muscles in that sense.. now you might be able to add Clen which is anticatabolic but don't take my word on this I don't know 100% on that.

You have tapped out my knowledge on this subject.. All I can say is this, if you do not want to lose muscle while trying to lose fat keep your cardio at 65-75% and don't do anything that pounds your muscles like running, jumping rope that kind of thing.

    Good luck

yes AAS can preserve muscle mass due to the nitrogen retention. but if you start going overboard or not getting ur diet in check then muscle will break down eventually.

if you cant measure your heart rate while your doing cardio you would be best buying a heart rate monitor from a store, so you can see what your heart rate is at any given time, which comes in handy when you are trying to keep it at 75% of your maximum whilst doing cardio

do the calculation above, that will tell you what your heart rate should be
