I've had packages delivered the same way without signiture required and they have caught me at the door and asked me for a signiture. When I looked it had no signiture req. on the package so I'm thinking they just asked me for the signiture because I was there and they would have left the package without the signiture. This was not for gear so it didn't matter. Try not to answer the door and see if it's delivered. Also, know who your delivery people are I was busted by the postal inspector and I should have know because it wasn't my regular post man. If caught at the door just look at the package and say is it required because I generally don't sign for things if I don't know what it is. Then if they say it is required I would say no thanks I wasn't expecting anything and I keep getting bills for things I don't order.

I would say let me look at the package and if it is no signature required just ask why they want one when it says no signature? Then if they say they need one then say it aint yours anyway... If you do get the package you will know right away, but on the safe side I always get a marker and right return to sender and set it by the door for a few days. That way if someone comes a knockin I can say you mean this? It is right here I havent had time to take it to the post office.
