New poster here, but long time site fan! I am 26 years old, 6’ 215lbs and have incorporated weight training into my life for the past two years. At the beginning I was really weak in the strength department, but over time I have really made huge leaps. My question is development, in my current training schedule I work chest and Tri’s on Tuesdays, where my exercises include incline bench press 4 sets, D-bell flat bench 4 sets, and incline fly’s. This is a normal chest workout for me, every 3 or so months I may switch to a flat bench, and incline D-bell press, but this is to keep me from getting bored. What I mentioned before my strength is very good, last week I maxed on flat bench and was able to do a 315lbs for 3 times, by far the most I have ever lifted. I am currently talking protein shakes for convenience since I am a student, but no AAS or anything. My workout partner is not able to lift near as much as me, but his chest looks more developed then mine, especially on the bottom portion of the pec. For some reason he has a much boxier appearance where I have a rounder look. So should I do less weight, or encompass a new exercise to get the more squared off appearance for the bottom of the pec? Now I am not referring to man boobs or anything, because I am currently happy with my appearance, and do not look bad with my shirt off, just wanting to know if it is genetics or an exercise that produces the look I am going for.
