    vacation plans, any suggestions?

well, Looks like Im off the Los Angeles for my holidays, 2 weeks is all, then a week in mexico...

but since my sister is coming, we're obligated to take her to disney land n stuff like that... shes only 17, but I was wondering if anyone here from LA happens to have any suggestions for exciting things to do...

we're all relativley young, im the oldest, 25... Ill turn 26 while in LA though...
since we're all small town canadians, lol we're rather intimidated. Ive lived in toronto and montreal and calgary here in canada, but never really been to LA cept when i was like 14...

so anyway... just wondering if anyone had any ideas or "tips" for the city of LA?

    thanks bros...

Check into the Hyatt Hotel on Sunset Strip. Across the street is the
House of Blues and next door to the Comedy Club. Nice restraunts
and you are in a 'safe' part of the city. The beach cities are to
cold and foggy this time of the year.

Your from Canada so Im sure the weather is fine out there. I just went to Irvine close to the beach cities, 2 weeks ago and it was almost 80 and it was between -15 and 20 degrees here. So I was loving it. You gotta check out the beach if you've never been to it yet. And all along the beach walks and HWY1 are cool shops and things to check out. Plus your into bodybuilding, check out venice beach, muscle beach. It wont be as busy as june or july but still worth checking out.

There is nothing like Sunset Strip on Friday & Saturday Night. If spring time the Beach Cities Rule. Nice people and board walks with stores
and all kinds of thing to enjoy.

The smog burns off around 10:30 and the sun comes out. I would also check out Santa Monica it's pretty cool out there. Like Ufa said check out the Sunset strip there's a lot of restaurants, clubs, stores etc. Beaches to go to I would recommend either Huntington or Newport.

Newport rules. I used to live there. Laguna Beach also.

Venice Beach is a must -(the old muscle beach) is still there
there have been heavy lifters there for at least 40 years.

Just know where you are going at night. The strip & beach cities
are great. You end up in South Central LA or to far out in the
valley you might get into trouble.

Yup, I used to live in Costa Mesa right off the 55. I was like 2 miles from Newport. Venice has some cool stuff also.

South Central and Compton two areas to stay away from especially once the sun goes down.

My friend lives in Irvine and use to live in Huntington so Id go there all the time. But venice beach is cool and some of the sidewalk performers are really really awsome, I saw this dad and little kid in silver suits and silver paint breakdancing, one of the coolest things I've ever seen. If you like sports at all they have some awsome pickup games on the courts there also if you like watching AND1 and streetball stuff. If you go to the bloc in the city of orange thats alright too alot of places to eat.

Not to jack the thread, but I was curious to visit Toronto. I got a couple friends that live up there. I heard T-dot is like the Canadian version of Detroit....how is Toronto?

Besides Sunset, and the beaches (Venice, Newport, Zuma), since your with your little sister, you guys could hit up 3rd Street in Santa Monica.

Try to catch a Laker game at Staples Center (Even though tickets are impossible to grab) If you guys are coming around early April, go to a Dodger game (You won't be dissapointed even if your not a baseball fan)

Disneyland will be bearable because you've got Downtown Disney, and I think someone mentioned the block which is close-by.

If you want more info on LA, hit me up with a PM, theres probably almost nowhere worthwhile that i haven't been to at least once.
