Thread: my face hurts

    my face hurts

    yesterday i had a bit of a toothache.
    about 4am this morning i woke up with a serious pain in my jaw. i had my hand in my mouth trying to yank my tooth out.
    i got an emergency appointment for the dentist. they took an xray, and i have a serious infection underneath the tooth.
    it seems that through my aggresive flossing, i somehow caused an infection.

    i have been prescibed Dilaudid for the pain, amoxicillin, and flagyl ( metronidazole) and some dodgy mouthwash for the infection.


    the dentist thinks im gonna have to have the tooth removed. which im not to happy about as i have always looked after my teeth and have been quite proud of them.

    does anyone have an fake / implanted tooth. whats it like?

    ps, it still hurts.

    my grandpa has tons of fake teeth they look nice. DOnnie you got nothing to worry about they will make it look as natural to your teeth as possible

    talk about irony...i was at the dentis for the same exact thing today. They told me my tooth would have to be pulled so i drove 2 miles to the next dentist office and they said they could save it. Meanwhile the whole left side of my face is swollen like a ballon.

    One option they said was to remove it and get a titanium implant but the cost of that would be insane.

    Wow...how ironic.

    get a second opinion... alot of dentist are lazy and have no confidence....especially the younger generation. They relay too much on technology instead of the old fashion, just get it done way.

    the tooth is actually in perfect condition, nothing wrong with it at all.
    but it seems during the night i may have been rocking it back and forth to try and take it out.
    it supposedly really common, just like scratching when you have an itch.

    If you get a fake one it will a) possibly stain differently over time ***ending on what you eat (lots of sodas and coffee) and b) the shit is noticeable in blacklight and various UV lights since real teeth kinda glow.

    Other than that it isn't a huge deal. I split a tooth in a fight a while ago and had to have it removed because it split down to the root... the fake isn't even noticeable and I don't ever have to worry about it hurting!

    i brush like 7-8 times a day lol but floss only 2x a week... luckily only teef i dont have are my wisdoms that i had yanked out at age 14 ><
    other then that i got a perfect grill so man.. SUCKS to be u

    yeah same, i brush about 4 times a day. have my teeth bleached, cleaned and are perfect, no fillings etc. have them insured too so my insurance company are gonna get a nice bill for about £4,000 if i have a fake one.
