need some advise to deal w/ leg workout!

hey folks, I need some few word of advise on my leg routine workout. Over the 4-6 months I have been doing squats, leg press and leg extension etc vigorously with the aim of expanding my quads and hamstring. But lately I realize all I have been getting is some pelvic girdle for all my effort giving me that feminine shape which I don't need. The question is why am I getting pelvic girdle (or hips) instead of quads/hamstring growth for a result? Does anyone knows what seems to be err in my workout routine?

What are you doing for hams and calves? Post your whole leg workout.

Your stance has a lot to do with which muscles you are hitting.

try doing some weighted dumbbell lunges, those nail my quads and glutes pretty good

make sure you do stifflegged deadlifts for your hammies aswell

I do deadlifts sometimes, but I mostly what I mentioned above, usually minimum of 120 Ibs for squats, 240 Ibs for leg press and 135 Ibs for extension for upto 10 or 12 reps respectively. My workout schedule is MWFS usually with cardio and skip_jump.

I agree with a lot of the other posts. It would mainly have to do with form.

Check out the lifting technique section here http://forums.steroid.com/forumdisplay.php?f=88

it has a lot of info.
