I ussually bake or broil...but fried some tuna steaks today and I started wondering about which oil is the best to cook with

looked up some older posts and seemed like coconut was the answer cause ??olive turns to transfat??

There is some debate over this. in theory it could degrade at high temp but the temp rewuired would be near impossible to achieve in a domestic oven... coconut oil is heat stable, contains MCTs and tastes good so go with that. if your cooking something that wouldnt taste nice with a coconut flavour (beef for example) then use canola. Better still grill it.
