for some reason it would over heat and turn off so I Put them in the freezer they would work for like 3o min and then it would shut off.... So I had to beat the game in 30 min

my buddy bought it again a few yrs ago for like 20 bucks. i played it a little, it was hard with no codes. what was that one code where you had everything and you were a girl? you remember, a name then numbers on the bottom or somethin. i saved all my nitendo power magazines.lol

I couldn't even sleep....I'd wake up in the middle of the night and turn it on real low and play... i had issues...beat it without any maps or help from magazines, found most of the hidden passages... it was my biggest feat up to that time...lol

I agree... I am not a big gamer like others, but i have still not found a game that makes you think as hard, play as hard, and have the baddest music....(I am sure there are some out there)....I think I blew a nut when we started talking about old school metroid.

yea, the maps and codes helped...but the thrill of finding a hole unexpectedly and not knowing what goodies or challenging world you were going to find is what it was got me hooked on it...

You know what would be funny to see?? Todays kids trying to put up with the bullshit we had to go through w/ these games!! I mean seriously, I remember breaking controlers, leaving the game on while I was at school b/c I didnt want to start over, putting games in the freezer, blowing air so hard in the controler that I nearly passed out!! LOL.. Today's kids have it soooo easy with their Wii's, Playstations, etc.. Whatever, Good time now that now that I look back! hahaa

that whole game was bout back tracking. ah yes high jump boots. i couldnt wait to go back to where you started the game, they had they energy tank up at the top. i think you had to freeze those things falling then jump off them, idk my brains going in circles lol im jonesing too
