Thumbs up For all you guys with Iphones....

I have been using this free app you get from the app store its called "lose it". And its amazing for people who want to keep track of their diet wether your on cut or bulk. Basically it tells you how many calories you need to eat per day to lose/gain/maintain your weight.

It keeps track of your calories, protein intake, fat, carbs, etc. Best of all you type in the food you are eating "ie chicken" and hundred different types of chicken appear or you can go by brand name. You can also put in your own custom foods with its own nutrition log. Also it contains the menus of a good amount restaurants and if you do any type of exercise "from basketball to weightlifting to water polo" it automatically deducts calories burned from the intensity you report and how long you did that activity.

So it lets you keep track of your macros with charts and average weekly intake.

So its free and good for guys who want to motivate themselves to eat more or less or just keep track of their diet in full detail.

The program is called "Lose it" and just search for it on the Iphone app store and its free.

Yeah make sure you go into the settings, you can add macros you want to keep track of ie. Saturated fat, cholesterol sodium and fiber are turned off on default and you can turn those on.

It's probably the best diet/weightlifting app (including payed ones) on the Iphone currently.

Yeah this will help alot of people who just "guessed" at how much they were eating in terms of macro.

Hope more people find out about it, great app.

I mentioned the LiveStrong earlier in this thread. I thought that app sucked.

Do you guys assign alcohol calories as carb calories?

Even though vodka isn't a carb it does convert eventually(like 7 cals per gram!).

I noticed that the app doesn't plug them as any macro.

Not sure what I would do with the alcohol. I've only drank once since using the app and it's a cheat where as I don't intend on counting the cals of anything during that period of time. 12 spicy garlic wings from Buffalo Wild Wings, fries with cheese dip, a few tall New Castles and some shots. If I put all that into the program I would just get depressed. lol

Funny how it is impossible to eat 1000 cal of chicken and oats, but my cheat meals are easily over that.

The beers and shots alone were over 1,000 cals! Then add in chicken wings and cheese fries...I don't even want to know. The next morning is always a great cardio session dripping with sweat.

I eat around 4000 calories a day, might I recommend milk to you guys. Has a great source of protein and it has around 400 calories (2 glasses of milk).

Much better than anything like gatorade, soda, etc. at meal time. But yes, getting in the calories is a pain when a brownie in itself is like 600 calories and my chicken is like 300-400 calories.

Milk is my favorite bulking food by far. Very easy to get the calories up with milk.
