Believe it or not, there's a pretty deep literature on the "rational power of ignorance" that is commonly stated in the saying "what you don't know cannot really hurt you." This believe or power obviously runs against the believe that "ignorance can hurt" or simply put what you don't know can equally hurt you. So whatever you believe in, there is both 'half-truth' to each premise which begs the question which premise do you believe in?lol
