    Anti-biotics and hard training?

Guys i am on one week of anti-biotics called Augmenten its amoxicillin plus another compound that allows it to work on more resistant bacteria i was prescribed it by an ENT dcotor for an infection in my throat.

I am also training daily for this week in particular its pretty much the equivelent of two hours of cardio a day, which varies from running to skipping rope to doing muay thai pads with a trainer for 6 rounds of 5 min each.

I read up every profile of this antibiotic and googled and i didnt find any contradiction to its effectiveness being affected by exercise.

The only antibiotics i read negative comments on are the family that includes Ciprofloxin, Oxfloxacin and Norafloxin, these are the only ones in which manufacturers warn about possible tendon raptures or tendonitis when performing heavy exercises or lifting heavy while your on them.

Does anyone have any input on wether i should just rest up the whole week or will exercise weaken/strengthen my immune system while on? Will exercising and perspiring alot make the antibiotic exit my body faster get metabolised faster?

    Any advice appreciated.

I dont think you need to worry about exercise. I was on antibiotics for quite a while due to nasal infections. Be careful with the sun though.

sorry to be nosey man but what were u prescribed for the nasal infection? i got one once but it wasnt a bacteria it was like a i dont know how to describe it its something between a bacteria and fungus, they prescribed me Flagyl it worked while on it but as soon as i stopped it came back and never went away. Its not severe, but if i breathe in hard i can smell it its not pleasant, and i have to clean my nose more often.

Started with the Z pack. AZITHROMYCIN and then with AVELOX to clear it up all the way. Actually nasal surgery cleared it up but that's a long story.

i feel you man i will desperately need a deviated septum surgery and clean up of all the crap in my nose and sinus eventually, i just want to retire from fighting and then get it done, i dont want to spend money on it and then get it messed up with a punch.

LOL, yeah I have had mine done 3x now. 1st time was from hitting a tree as a kid on a rope swing. To many spins/twirls and I didnt see where I was going. LOL
2nd time my 1yr old daughter slammed her head back into my nose breaking it again.
3rd time (recenlty) was to fix the mess the 2nd doc made. Sinus passages where not cleared properly so I get sinus infections all the time.
