    Bad Headache During Workout

Im 6'1", 215lbs 25 years old. I've been lifting on and off for 5 years and been really serious about it for the last year. Recently I've been getting horrible headaches during workouts. The only supplements I take are creatine, multivitamin and whey. I still force myself through a full workout but if anyone has had this problem I'd like to know if there is anything that might help.

huh? A few months back i got a SUPER bad headache when i was working out. So bad i had to leave right then and get home to lay down. Kind of had a dizzy feeling too... no idea what it was... I went to the doctor and they lined me up with an mri and an mra (ended up being a couple weeks later) and nothing came up. Took a few weeks off from the gym and havent had anything like it since. Not that this really helps you out much, just thought i would share, if it persists i would just take a little time off....

Make sure you are hydrated. I get headaches if i'm not hydrated when I work out at times.

that could be a good possiblilty. I used to get some pretty bad ones in the back of my head where the spine goes into my head. but same as cwins, took afeww weeks off and it went away. also i realized i wasnt exhaling on the way up on heavy lifts (squats, deads) that probably had alot to do with it.

I had the same thing when ever I used the leg press machine.
We figured it was caused by high blood pressure do to the large amount of weight I was using. Since then we have switched from using both legs to just one and the headaches no longer happen.

Yes, I know what caused this. It happens when there is a lack of water/oxygen to your brain (99% of the time water). Just drink a glass of water before you work out and while you work out. See if that helps.

I bet it's hypertension. I've had this when I dint get my scripts refilled. Would get a headache and maybe see some stars. Do yourself a favor and go see your doc.

PO you cant honestly say you know definatively that what you stated is the cause if the OP's problem. i also thinks its a hydration issue, but i cant say for sure. even a Dr. couldnt make a diagnosis from what little info has been provided.
