So, I began my PCT today. In preparation, I had a very aggressive 2-day carb load (ran a low-carb cycle). I ate about 600g via carbs Sunday and 400g yesterday. Mostly in the form of lentils, quinoa, sweet potato, and oats. I had a ton of energy when I got up this morning and went straight to the gym after 10 egg whites and a cup of oats. It was back day. I killed on my first few sets but it was all downhill from there...
My forearms and lower back were so pumped that it was painful. I felt as though both may pop at any moment. I was having trouble maintaining a grip around my deadlift barbell (I could barely make a fist). I also felt as though there was an obstruction in my lower back, making it tight beyond belief. I finished out the work-out but it was not pleasant. I hadn't had more than 300g of carbs since beginning the cycle but am planning on making that the norm through PCT and lowering my pro/fat.
Could this tightness be glycogen super-compensation related? Or should I go to the doctor ASAP? I had insane pumps on cycle, but nothing to the point where I couldn't bend over or make a fist.
