Discrepancy w/ Milos' videos and advice on the board

Most board members will say that simple carbs PWO is a bad idea. When I joined, I was eating simple carbs PWO and was told everything from 'the negatives of the insulin spike greatly outweigh the positives' to 'that trend died out years ago'.

However, most of these people also direct n00bs to Milos' videos - in which he clearly is pro-simple carbs PWO.

Personally, I like complex carbs PWO because i'm very carb sensitive, so this isn't an issue for me. But I can see how it might frustrate a new member or somebody new to dieting all together, and they'll wind up with more questions than answers.

    Just an observation.

Take into consideration that if you were to interview 20 IFBB Professional Bodybuilders on their dieting philosophies you would likely get close to 20 different views. A few Pro's love Keto and some wouldnt go near it. There are also a ton of variables that come into play when dieting and it's not very often there is a simple black and white answer to "General" questions like PWO carbs. It is really a matter of trial and error and finding out what works best for your body.

Great point - like anything else, it boils down to opinions, or better yet personal preference. In the end, we know our bodies are different and what works great for one might not work at all for others.

You've seen me jumping from diet to diet, and I know I look like a flake - but i've only been trying to find my 'sweet spot' through trial and error. The keto diet definitely wasn't for me, and i'm learning more and more about how to incorporate carbs into my diet systematically and optimally.

    Good post man.

Have you ever thought about carb-cycling? I'm currently finishing up my PCT and getting smaller/weaker by the day, so I'm stuffing down the carbs/cals like a madman, however, I love to carb-cycle when cutting and it was the best and most balanced option I found.

Im with fireguy on this. different methods work for different people so there can not be one answer aimed at everybody, milo's does state that he has tried this with many bb's and athletes and found good results with it. his physique wasnt too bad either

Milo's seems to know what he is on about, it made me laugh when he lifted his shirt up in his lecture and said something to the effect of 'not to be a show of or anything but this is my condition all year round.' But yes definitely with firey on this one, I have done both simple and complex carbs, and constantly trying new things with both dieting and training together trying to see what works best for my body. It's the only way to go.

I haven't; that's one cutting method I have no familiarity with. I assume it's either cutting carbs completely or reducing on certain days, or every other day... something like that? Would you be able to give me some sample macros, and the logic/science behind it? I'm intrigued. =)
