Red face I know downloading videogames is wrong but ......

So the other day i go the ebgames and i sell my WII console Super Mario Galaxy 2, and some xbox games The Saboteur, Mass Effect 2, i had around 8 games total, the guy gave me 143$.

Now less then a month ago i bough Mass Effect 2 at 70$ they gave me 8$ for it, Super Mario Galaxy 2 at 60$ they gave me 25$, and the WII console with 2extra controller they gave me 70$.

Now i got my xbox 360 moded and ready to get some cracked games. After all why would i stay legit in a world that screws me up so good.

I do the same thing with movies and i save so much money, i mean go sell a dvd today they will give you 1 maybe 2$ if you are lucky.

Modded Xbox's can get you banned from online play.

Now movie companys have been embedding software into pirate movies and working WITH ISP (internet providers) to find and fine people who download movies.

Lastest was with the movie "The Hurt Locker." They were fining people 1,500.00. The ISP's never use to work with these guys which protected you but now that they are its not really worth it. Plus the fact that renting a HD movie from itunes is only $4.99 also makes the rick not worth it.

My friend works at an internet provider in Canada, the law does not apply over here, also i never play online with my xbox 360, still i knew that by modding the xbox i could not play online. PS3 does not charge to play online and x box does go figure......

I know that in the US its not the same law and they do fine people who download movies, one of my friend lives in Tennessee and he said it was very risky to download movies and games.

most mod chps come with on/off switches so you'll be fine as long as you don't try to play with a gold subscription. If you want to play online , just keep making temp emails and sign up for trial gold subscription. As far as embedded software, it's quite silly. By the time they have a new encoding or trick, there are new ways to get around it.

Also on the pirate bay you have the people with the green skulls, pink skulls and blue skulls with are thrusted trackers, if you download from them there is no problem, i never ever download from anyone else unless they have a colored skull beside there torrent.

Also there are sites you can register which are private sites and much safer once more.

When you download a game its usually cracked already, most of the time they will come out with v2 or v3 within the week and its all good. A guy at my job as xbox 360 games he even got bayonneta and darksider 2 weeks before the games where released.

Guys it all depends on where you live, as i said here in Canada right now the law only applies if you sell downloaded movies or games, like if i was to go at a flea market and put up a stand with pirated movies and games and charge money for them. for personal usage there are no laws out yet. My friend works at Inter.net he is the supervisor there, last time he got some emails from a few movie companies wanting to sue people, the movie that was downloaded then and leaked was X-men origins Wolverine, my friend did not pay any attention to the email because he said the laws do not apply in Canada.

I know i was scared too when i first started downloading.

For me its personal usage only, i will download a bunch of horror movies burn them on a dvd avi files and after watching i will throw the dvd in the thrash. Same with cam movies and TS and R5.
