LH and FSH

Can anyone knowledgeable in this area with FSH and LH elaborate on its effects of conceiving a child? Before I even started TRT, my LH was 0.1 and FSH was 0.2. After 2 years of TRT and HCG, this hasn't changed.

I thought HCG affected (improved) the LH in a positive way. I'm just curious if my chances of having children are non-existing.

Your pituitary makes LH to tell your testicles to produce T, along with other functions. So if your pituitary is not doing that, or your testicles do not respond to the LH, you have low T.

If you are taking T or HCG and your T levels are high, your blood LH levels will always be low because your body thinks it has all the T it needs and will not produce LH to signal the production of more T.

HCG mimics LH but is not LH, so your blood LH levels will still be low. But your testicles will think there is high LH levels in the blood and act accordingly. If your boys are nice and plump, not shriveled up, then the HCG is working and so are the boys. If you plan on having kids you need to stay on HCG while on TRT. It is quite possible you can even have kids now. If not you may have to come off to come off of T for a while.

Thanks for the reply GNBM. A sperm analysis is one way to tell if I'm able to conceive, correct? Do you, or anyone, have any info on that subject? I'm not planning on having kids anytime soon, but it'd be nice to know whether I can or can't.

You can have your sperm checked. I doubt your doc will schedule that test unless you claim you are not having any luck getting your wife pregnant; in which case your doc may also want to take your off TRT so be careful what you claim.

Not sure if there are fertility checks at private md labs or not.
