"Tennis Elbow" from too many bowling rounds after not playing for a long time

It doesn't appear to be a serious injury, but after a long time of not bowling I played a few too many rounds one night. I've had what I think is called 'tennis elbow' for ~2 weeks since. It feels like pain in the connective tissue deep in the elbow joint, hurting only when I strain the tissue. Is this a common injury? I have been laying off that elbow as best I can, should I be doing anything else to speed recovery?

    Regards,

Go on line a look for McDavid Elbow strap. I had the same problem from golf and it took almost a year to stop hurting. Now I use them any time I might put a strain on those tendons. They do work
