chest is mostly genetics, it won't get much wider with training
back thickness - barbell rows, deadlift
back width - wide grip pullups

Why would wide grip pull ups give you a wide back? Close grip would be more effective if performed correctly

And to the OP, train hard, like every set is your last.... If you train balls to the wall with low-moderate volume you will grow no matter what you do... So long as diet is up 2 par.

    Decline presses
    Incline presses
    Crossovers
    Rows or any kind
    Pull ups
    Pull downs
    Pull overs

No lol but I do live about 2 miles away from him

He has a good no bull sh*t theory to training...

Doing wide grip is just reducing ROM and putting the biceps in a weak position

I always go should width underhand or use an Iso lateral pull down machine with an intermediate grip (palms facing each other

Looks like Base got this covered

I agree close grip pull downs are Superior to wide grip for back width

I know we've had this chat before and I love my wide grip pulldowns...

Do you really think close grip are better? The employ more of the bicep than wide grip...

How exactly are you doing them as well? At the end of the eccentric I lean slightly forward with my hands above my head and REALLY stretch the lats, is that how you do them?

I employ wide and close grip exercise's in my back workout. I like to hit my back from all angles, and I think they both are beneficial.

They are different.... I do sometimes like to do some light behind the head pulldowns at the end of my session... With perfect form tho and only to the back of my head... Not half way down my neck
