    31 and low T..HELP!!

Sorry ahead of time for the long read ( I even left a lot of info out )

I am a 31 year old that has low testosterone. I was very into bodybuilding in my early 20's and took just about everything under the sun that was over the counter, but I never took steroids. I hear that this could be the root of my problems. I first had blood work done last year when I just couldn't lose weight, so my doctor tested for everything. When it came back low ( 165 ) my doctor said he was going to "shock" my system back into producing its own, so I took 200mg/ml once a week for a month, then I tested again but it was still low ( 183 ). He decided to put therapy on hold and focus on the weight so he put me on Adipex until my weight was down. Three months later he tested me again and my levels were low but better ( 236 ). So he "shocked" my body the same way again and now it's lower ( 135 ). I am told that I will have to supplement the rest of my life and I need one shot a month. Test after that ( 168 ). Then he says every other week and test after three months, ( 140 ). I had a full panel of hormone tests done and I should have the results tomorrow. I was referred to an endocrinologist for further review.

I know there can be any number of factors that could have shut my body down at this age, (shift work, weight gain, OTC supplements) but I feel as if I should be able to re-stimulate my body back to where it should be. I have done a lot of reading online and it seems as if the smartest people to ask about this subject are on this board. From what I have read here my doctor actually shut down my production more than it was already, plus I should be adding HCG to my test to have prevented further shutdown.

In this situation, is there a way to run an aggressive cycle of SERMS/SARMS to stimulate my own production back to where it should be? What would I take and how much?? There is way to much information here about PCT that I can't relate to or I would try to put something together myself.

    Thanks in advance.

I am not your doctor of coarse. But, it sounds like you'll need a shot a week of test for a very long time. (hrt) I'm 31 also and in the same boat. It's not that bad. Better this than have low test levels for life.

I don't see how a shot of test could jump start your natty? Anyway a lot of the OTC supps, especially back in the day, had the ability to shut you down. The Bro's in the HRT forum could give you more insight.

No you dont need a shot a week or month. Your doctor needs to find out what wrong. You said you took everything except steroids, does that mean you took pro hormones? Things that are supposed to boost your test? They seem to do more damage most of the time than real steroids.

Hopefully your doctor will find out what is wrong. He should forget putting you on test, maybe HCG alone? If nothing else consider running a PCT if he doesnt help you but first lest see the blood work results.

PH's also shut you down. Good read for the young that supplement without research. How many used PH's recklessly and never ran a PCT or even knew what it was.

Sounds like a case for TRT. It isn't that bad as Hankdiesel said.

Thanks for all of the replies. If I were to try a PCT is there one that any of you would recommend as a last chance effort?

I will still be going to the specialist to review my labwork.

Using synthetic testosterone for a month will not raise your natural levels. If he is testing your bloodwork after you come off this "shock" you will be shut down, therefore your levels will be lower. That is why after a few months your body had recovered and the level was higher. BUt once again you shut yourself down so the levels are lower

Any PCT advice? I feel I need to at least try...

All of my hormone results came back normal with the exception of my test. At this point should I even bother with a specialist or should I try to run a pct.... or just accept that I must supplement for the rest of my life????

listen to your endo, he will know best. And yes some treatments involve kick starting your natural production with artificial test, and sometimes it works.
