    Would coca-cola be alright if taken post workout?

    I really fell in love with mexican Coke and was wondering if I can substitute that instead of the usual grape juice or what not. It will be taken with Whey ofcourse.

    the mexican coke has pure cane sugar in it, that is why it taste so good. i have a friend who used it in a 1/2 marathon, decarbonated it and drank it during his run.

    Really? You're on a bodybuilding board in the nutrition section asking this question? I don't mean to come off like a dick, but c'mon... what do you think the answer is going to be?

    PS - I wouldn't use grape juice either however.

    Asking that is like asking, "should I use a backhoe to re-pot my Begonia?"
    A little sugar - like the lactose in half a cup of fat-free milk mixed in with your whey - is fine. The whole idea of loading up with sugar post workout is WAY overblown.

    protein shake and complex carb pwo and u cant go wrong.. as a matter of fact anytime u have carbs (for the most part depending on the type of program ur on) complex carbs are the way to go...

    I was feeling a little down since I ruptured a disc and havent been able to go to the gym for a week now but this sh*t made me laugh until my back started hurting again please no more.
