52 year old wanting to get more serious about getting more muscular. I know diet is my biggest problem and I see there is a wealth of information here (overload actually). Long story short, I have lifted on and off for years, never hard core. Currently pretty steady for last 3 years. About a year ago, felt like I had no energy or strength. Went to Dr. and discovered I had low test. Been on HRT since. Made a huge difference. Made me want more. I understand more is not always good and there are proper ratios to go with diet, workout schedule, etc. That's why I am here is to learn more. In the past I have gotten over 190 lbs. But not cut. Like I say, diet. Now it seems real hard to put on any mass. Best I have looked was probably a year ago but I was only 165 as a result of a lot of running. In past 2 years, I have also torn a rotator cuff, and bicep tendon (stupid movement with weights - got it fixed) tore a tricep (Dr says can't be fixed - tendon tore off muscle, not like typical tendon off bone), and then again, other rotator cuff and bicep tendon (catching a falling treadmill off the back of my truck - currently waiting for surgery date). Plenty of questions, will look for answers or ask in the proper forums.
