When does Beta Alanine start to work?

When does Beta Alanine start to work? Does it take a while to build in your system like creatine or is it immediate? Thanks.

It builds pretty much just like everything else (ie creatine). When are you taking the beta alanine? I would suggest taking it w/ creatine as the two work synergetically. Also, I hope you don't expect miracles from this amino acid...it does help but doesn't make a crazy difference. That being said it is a nice addition if you're using creatine as well.

Yes, I'm using creatine as well. I'm thinking about getting Citrulline Malate too, although it has less evidence backing it. Thanks for your answer, so it builds up in your system. Got it.

I like the Beta Alanine/Creatine combo as well. Two effective supplements that work even better together.

So can you give us a breakdown when you'll be taking he citrulline malate, creatine, and beta alanine? Just wanting to make sure you're timing everything correctly.

    CM- 2 scoops (4000mg) 30 minutes pre-workout
    BA- 3 grams 30 minutes pre-workout
Creatine- 5 grams post-workout with whey protein
    Acetyl L-Carnitine- 2 grams pre-workout

    What do you think?

looks good although I might throw in 2.5-3g creatine preworkout with the CM and BA and then 5g pwo as well (should have more of a synergetic effect.

Naw man! Good results have been seen with as little as 3g CM...most people overdue their CM intake and end up pissing most of it out. If you're going to do 8g or more break it down into more than one dose. Also, if you don't want that bloated look that some report w/ using CM then go for Creapure CM...it's micronized and absorbs better. I don't hold water on that stuff.

I was impressed with how quickly BA started working for me. And I did the same thing too: BA and Creatine combo. I was surprised that towards the end of my workout, I was still lifting heavy weight without feeling tired. Great supplements.

That is all sounds solid. I dose my BA at anywhere between 4 and 6g a day and split it into two doses when I wake up and 30 min pre workout. BA is an amazing supplement and you will really start to notice the effect about a month to a month and a half into supplementing. I dose CM at 9g about 30 min pre workout, ALCAR I dose at between 2 and 3 grams a day and again I split those up half in the morning and half pre workout. The creatine and protein of course post work out. Might I suggest incorporating Na-ra-ALA and agmatine sulfate into your supplement arsenal and your will have yourself a killer stack.

No not at all my man, years ago everyone was all about taking their creatine post work out because of the whole idea of your body having a "40 minute window" to shuttle in all your important nutrients but time has shown that that indeed isn't necessary. As long as you are taking in the same amount of grams everyday it doesn't matter the time you take it your body will absorb it just fine. On my rest days I take it first thing in the morning just to get it out of the way.

I prefer the L-Citrulline form. Been using it for 2 years now.

It takes time to build up in your system. I tend to feel more endurance at the end of about week 2 i.e. more reps on lifts.

The itch reduces as you get used to it. After a week or so the itch is almost gone for me. But on day 1 I hate it!
