I wouldn't consider Pumping Iron an Arnold movie, but a Documentary about bodybuilding featuring Arnold. I'm only saying this because Total Recall deserves to be in the top three somehow

It was going to be predator then total recall. But, pumping iron put the Schwarzenegger on the map.

I totally agree. I know it's not his best movie, but I've always loved the Running Man as well.

Just so many, True Lies was pretty damn good. And so was Commando. But, I still stick to my top 3. Don't really know why he's trying to do movies now. A movie with Knoxville, really?

In order to really do Arnold top 3's, you almost need to break up his career into era's. i.e. Bodybuilding era, post bodybuilding pre governor, and now post governor as each era the style of action movie has changed, and each era has (or will have) fantastic movies that compare better with movies of their own era.

    The Greatest Arnold movies ever:

    Predator
    Conan The Barbarian
    T2

Almost made top 3 (Honorable mentions)
    T1
    Commando
    Running Man
    Total Recall
    Kindergarten Cop

There are a few movies I have never seen of his which is really sad because I am a huge fan and have seen Predator over 50 times which I would probably argue is my all time favorite. I will have to get them they include Raw Deal, Jingle All The Way, Twins, and I think he had a movie called Junior I dunno but I will see them.

Analysis of my top 3 list:

Predator - The greatest action movie ever made in my opinion. Jesse Ventura a real life Navy Seal. Carl Weathers the only guy back then who could lock arms with Arnie and look like he might could beat him in arm wrestling. Schwarzenegger nothing else needs to be said. Then you got Bill Duke the guy playing Mac who was so good they put him in Commando also remember "This green beret is going to kick your ass -"I eat green berets for breakfast and right now i'm very hungry". Then you got Sonny Landham who from what I gather is a bit of a wild man and probably the biggest indian alive at the time (native american). The guys who played Poncho and Hawkins were great also along with the spanish girl's tatas in that white shirt. One reason you know this is arguably his best movie is because its possibly the most often quoted which I won't inundate you with here but you all know the quotes.

T2 - This movie would win a popularity contest and had the best special effects in an Arnie movie and possibly of any movie ever made up to that point. Everything is beautiful and the writing and directing bring a lot of depth to the story line and the dialogue.

Conan The Barbarian - Arnold himself has said this movie was his big break when he became a mega star and up to then he wasn't really a house hold name or anything. In his words they told him he had a "crazy accent" and was too freakishly big for movies and then he got his "big break in conan the barbarian". So many people have tried to do what he did in this movie throw a muscle dude into some sandals and give him a sword and they have failed miserably to make a hit because Arnold made this movie its like he said a director told him "if we didn't have a Schwarzenegger we would have to create one".

    Top 3

    I'd say

    Conan the barbarian
    Kindergarten cop
I don't know about the third spot. There are a few.

What about not so top 3

    Hercules in New York
    End of days
    The sixth day

They may be the bottom of the barrel but I would still set down and watch them!

I liked Running Man a lot. Eraser was pretty cool and so was Total Recall.

You know what movie he did that I actually liked a lot was Red Heat. I also liked Last Action Hero too and True Lies as well. Really, Ahnuld for the most part was pretty solid in his movies. You knew you were going to get your money's worth out of one of his movies.

Terminator 1, End of Days and Running Man were my favourite though.

Pumping Iron - I was perhaps the most non-fictional of all his movies... But even that's a stretch.

I just finished his new autobiography; if you have a few hours to spare each days you'll get through it in no time. Especially if you skim his political manifesto which is sprinkled through out the book.

Oh look at me, now I'm off topic.

I cant decide but this looks pretty solid. I just wish Predator was on right now. I think thats is my favorite. Comando was great and it had Alyssa Milano.
