I am new here and have started my first cycle of Anavar (I'm on day 4). A little about me...
5'5
CW: 145lb
Weight before bulk (3 1/2 months ago): 130lb
Body fat before bulk: 15%
Age: 28
Lifting for 2 years but only very seriously for one year.
I have just started my cutting phase. I went a bit crazy and gained more fat than I would have liked during my bulk but I did increase strength exponentially, and naturally. Started deadlifts at 170lb and now am doing 225lb.
I have started taking Anavar in the hope to preserve as much muscle mass as I can whilst leaning out, and if I gain some then bonus!
Workout Regime: 5 days of HIIT on the stair master and treadmill for 30 mins in the AM on an empty stomach. Mon - Quad dom. Tues - Chest/Back. Wed - Ham/Glutes. Thurs - Shoulders. Fri - Bi's and Tri's. Sat - Plyo Legs focused. Sunday REST.
I am 10 days into carb depletion but had a refeed two days ago so am back to my starting weight. I am trying the ultra low carb way of Carb Nite from John Kiefer. I think I will do this for 4 weeks and then try his Carb Back-loading technic where you eat carbs after your PM weight session until bed. I am a little nervous about doing this since my goal is fat loss but I also don't want my muscle to waste away by not feeding it carbs at the right time.
I am taking 10mg around 10am of Anavar per day. Should I be splitting that into two, 5mg morning and 5mg at night??
I am eating between 1500 - 1700 calories per day with a ratio of 45% protein (165g), 40% fat (70g) and 15% carbs (60g).
I would love any feedback about my diet, exercise and anavar usage so I get the most out of this as possible. I'm concerned about my diet/calories/ratio the most as I'm not sure whether I should go straight into carb back-loading whilst on anavar or continue to really limit carb intake so I can lean down as much as possible. I would like to get to 10-12% body fat and maintain that until my first competition next year.
As of right now I don't think I've had any effects of the anavar, but it has only been 4 days. I should also mention that I am taking Dexyfen and D.I.E.T, the fat burners and thermogenic. I've been on those for about 2 weeks and haven't lost a single pound. My sleep has been disruptive but I think that's more the carb depletion than the anavar.
Any advice, help, tips etc would be much appreciated. I will post pics soon and keep you all updated throughout my journey.
