Why do I keep getting a cold on TRT??

It's gotta be more than a coincidence that once I started on trt ay least once every month I get either stuffy nose with watery eyes or what feels like a throat infection or I lose my voice... what gives??? I sterilize every single time I inject! I'm not reusing needles, one or two times I've probably knicked a vein but I've pulled out and not injected into it...

I take my essential vitamins, hcg, preg, dhea.. I even started drinking morinda tahitian noni! Oh and nac every morning... Any ideas guys?

I've experienced the sus flu but this is insane!

Oh and everytime I goto the dr thinking is an infection it's nothing and it's not the flu either.. It's just the symptoms.

I don't want to be paranoid about it being my hematocrit levels but do you guys think I should schedule the phlebotomy my doctor 3 weeks later has given me the orders for OR do you think I should get rid of this stuffy nose/possible cold first?

Testosterone is immune suppressive. Lots of article on the Internet about it. I get sick like clock work, then feel great and others get sick around me with no effect every cycle.

How did you deduce I'm self medicating? Pretty sure I mentioned taking my bottle back to the pharmacy when I found the gelatin at the bottom...

Anyway no I'm not self medicating, got a script from my dr for the test, unfortunately he won't give me a script for hcg so I have to get that myself but the source is reliable.

Bonaparte, no specific iron supp but I did start taking Alive! multi-vitamin which I just checked and doesn't show having any iron...

Maybe tdoe is on to something.. Should I be on the safe side and do the phlebotomy on Thursday? I do have the orders from my dr after all... level was at 51% two weekends ago and since then I started my hcg up again.

Yeah I would do the blood draw if you have the script. I have always had sinus issues and when I donated 2 months ago almost immediately I felt much better breathing wise. May have been unrelated but sinus pressure seemed to be reduced a good bit and I felt so much better. At the time of donation I think I was sitting right at 52% so right there around the level you're at so I would do the draw soon to see if that helps. As far as waiting for the possible infection to clear, since your draw will not be donated or used I wouldn't worry about it.

funny I haven't gotten sick since I started TRT, I'll probably get sick tomorrow since I just jinxed myself! at 51% hematocrit why would you need a scrip? most blood drives will take you up to 55%. more me it more of a seasonal allergy that lingers for a long time. where I live is very high in pollen, check your local weather information and see what are the allergy conditions in your area. you never now!

Personally, I think it's just dumb luck. Nothing to do with TRT. I had never gotten sick since starting TRT over 3 years ago. The last month I've come down with a fever/chest infection 3 times. Just started another round of antibiotics today. F'ing nightmare...

I would say it's bad luck, I have been doing this a few years and the only time I feel "off" is if I take too much HCG I get brain fog and a little blurry vision but never feel sick.

it really surprises me to hear testosterone is immunosuppressive. I wonder though, what is more suppressive, having unbalanced hormones aka low testosterone and being out of whack, or adding an immuno suppressant and having your body operating at full efficiency..seems there are pros to trt in that regard!
