I maintained a relatively high protein and carb intake (to prevent LBM loss and maintain my intensity in the gym) and reduced fats to create my caloric deficit. Strength went up, fat mass went down, and while I'm sure I lost some LBM (everyone will from reduced glycogen stores), the amount of actual muscle mass loss was negligible.
Remember, during PCT you'll be hyperexcreting LH from the SERMs and your test levels will be artificially high unless your Leydig cells aren't sensitized to LH but HCG throughout the cycle will help immensely with this. Now I wouldn't go around and advise everyone to cut during PCT, especially if you're one of the ones who feels like crap during and have trouble maintaining training intensity, but neither would I make the blanket statement that nobody can cut during PCT or that everyone will lose their gains.
