I drink about 4-5 protein shakes a day. I'd like to get more of my protein from real food, but I drive a truck all day. It's so convenient to just pour some water into my shaker bottle with powder.

It digests way too fast, leaving your body w/nothing to pull from.
3 max w/3 solid meals at every other meal.

I consume 2-3 per day....post workout shake is my most important.
at least 4.
meal 1-protein shake/flax with eggs
pre-workout-shake w/ flax
post workout-2 scoops
before bed-protein/flax
and sometimes in conjuction with pre-workout meals, depending on my appetite.

On the norm for me, 3 max. 1 pre-workout, pwo, 2am. Other than that 5-6 solid meals.
3 in the daytime and 2 more throughout the night.
I drink between 3 and 4 per day, plus I eat foods that are high in protein content.
2-44g shakes...Pro-Rated!!
AM workout days:
2 scoops whey pre workout
2 scoops whey post workout
1 scoop blended protein before bed
PM workout days:
2 scoops post workout
1 scoop blended protein before bed
off days:
1 scoop blended protein before bed
given the choice between a whole food meal and an MRP, i go with the food every time. i love food way too much

Pre-workout & post-workout only. But I also eat 2 protein bars a day, between meals. Do they count toward the total?

Banana Cream
2 scoops Vanilla Protein Powder
8oz 2% Milk
2 tsp Vanilla Pudding Mix (fat free, sugar free)
1 banana
1 tbl flax
8oz water
3 ice cubes
Chocolate Peanut Butter
2 scoops chocolate protein powder
8oz milk
2 tbl nat. peanut butter
2 tsp butterscotch pudding mix (fat free, sugar free)
8oz water
3 ice cubes
1-2 a day................anymore than that would make my feces soft

I've tried EAS which was 19 a shake...Now I'm up to some other kind, fairly good with 23 grams a shake in only one scoop.

One per day. I find I get better results having the majority of my pro. intake come from natural food.

I take 3, 44g shakes a day. I'd like to just take one post-workout, but it's hard to get to 350g-400g a day with just food.

I try to use mostly food, but 1 or 2 shakes here and there sure come in handy - especially when I am in a hurry.
I consume one first thing in the morning and another immediately after my workout. The rest of my protein intake comes from tuna and chicken.
Depends. Depends on how much I can get from whole food sources. If I am having one of those days where I have less time than usual - I'll slam a few Myoplexes for a quick fix. The ultimate goal is simply not to starve the building process...
