    Computer generated landscapes. Wallpapers... any requests? Look inside...

    Hey all

    Been playing around with 3d rendering software, ive been using a few programs, teragen, texture maker and photoshop.

    Just made this one...

    And, if you could, would you do something with a blue duck. I've never seen a blue duck and I would really like to see a blue duck.

    Seriously though, can you explain how you do it? Do you literally start from scratch and create the scenes like someone would draw it on a blank piece of paper (though obviously using a computer instead of a paper), or do you cut and paste certain shapes and images together?

    Its mainly based on fractal maps, then addidng layers and textures on top of them.

    So yea you start with a blank piece of paper, you make a fractal map to get the shapes, add textures, add lighting etc etc. It can be a bit complicated but the results are amazing

    Hmm im not too good with characters. I can make the grass bit and probably something like looks like the tower in the background, i will work on it tomorrow for ya if you want?

    Without the characters would be fine, the field of roses, with the skulls is my favorite part, and of course the tower. Thanks Bro.

    these all look like Bryce photos....its actually very easy to make these pictures....just takes forever to render.

    Quite quick on my laptop actually. Yea ive used bryce before its a great program.

    I use 3DSMAX too which is pretty cool
