I'm planning to add sweet potatos to my PPWO meal. How do you cook them? I've heard baking for 45 min - 1 hour. Or boiling. What tastes the best? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can do that, or what I do is wrap mine in a wet paper towel and microwave it until it's done. I can't stand heating up the oven to bake 1 small ass potato.

Thanks Swole. I was hoping someone would say its ok to microwave them. I agree, I couldn't see heating the oven for 1 hour for a small potato. Wrap in a wet paper towel and microwave until done. Please excuse my ignorance, but how will I know when its done? In a medium-powered microwave oven, should I cook it for 2 minutes or 5 or what?
it takes so long when i microwave them, most of the time i stab them repeatedly with a knife so it cooks faster
Takes 8-10 mins. on average, a far cry from 45 mins. to 1 hour in the oven.
You can slice it open in the middle half way through before cooking, then as it gets soft it'll "relax" and open more on it's own. You can then use a fork and test the meat inside to see when it's soft enough for you to consume.

The best way I have found: cut into round slices (thickness depends on your liking). Lay them all flat on a bigass sheet of foil (enough so that you can completely fold the foil over to make a sort of foil pouch). Fold all sides of the foil pouch so that it is sealed all way around. Bake in an oven at 180 celcius for 20-30 minutes. Comes out almost like sweet potato chips. To get an even better effect, uncover and return to grill for 2-3 minutes to get a real chip-like effect (crunchy outside, soft and tender inside).

Thanks guys.

you just put the potato in the rice cooker?

my girlfriends microwave has a baked potato button that works great
It was delicious out of the microwave. I could eat those all day long.
