B-12 & ASPIRATION ?

guys just curious. this is the first time im using & saw injectable b-12 & i never new it was the color red. i have been using it 2-3 times/wk@1ml. do u have to aspirate b-12 like aas. if so how can u tell if u get blood in the syringe. thanks, anybody

Yes, you always need to aspirate for IM injections. If you can't tell a difference in the color of b12 and blood then look for a change in volume.

OK, but blood is red & so is the b-12. i guess what ur telling me is that the blood might appear to look darker if it entered the vial & the texture in the vial will change.

Always, always, always aspirate. Just look for bubbles dude. Bubbles...inject...no bubbles....don't inject.
