    Anyone good with finance/credit......

Lookin for ways to boost my credit score. Everyone knows the obvious....
Dont max out your cards, pay bills on time, etc. But does anyone know of any other ways to increase it?

I think pulling yourself out of debt increases it as well but thats somewhere you dont wanna go into in the first place.

Yeah I found that out the hard way (not too bad tho luckily). I JUST pulled myself out of debt, and am looking to recover some credit points. BEing out of debt is a GREAT feeling tho.

well if you have alot of credit accounts open try to xfer the balances to the minimum amount of cards as you can. If you can fit them all on one existing card do it, and close the others out. Multiple open accounts can kill your score.

It's funny you say that because I heard that as well and an account told me not to close my other crdit account after I had transferred the balance.

Pay above your min payment for debts, but dont pay more then 20% over the min, after 6months of that you will notice your score going up. It worked for me

    Go to a Bank,
Get a Loan for about $1000-$3000,
Deposit the Money in your account
Don't spend the money, save it.
make payments for about 5-9 months then pay off the whole amount
Then keep doing the same thing, this will increase your credit

Ummmm never close out an account. pay them all down to zero and throw those cards away. By maintaining open lines of credit with a low to zero balance your score will begin to rise. If you close them it will act negatively on your credit for a fixed time period. and it will take at least a year of credit points to rebuild.
