    Help! pain in head!

hey all, it has started about 5 days ago.. i started my workout like usual one day.. and a pain started throbbing in the back of my head .. pulsing so bad i had to quit.. no otc meds will stop it.. it eases when i stop working out and becomes like a dullheadache nagging at me.. do u think i pulled something and its hitting a nerve? maybe from doing shrugs?.. anyways i went to a doc . and he was pretty stupid about it all and didnt do or say much and just gave me 800 mg ibproufen and some flexril.. they seem to help some but still hurts a little ... although i havent worked out since b/c it hurts still whenever i have sex or anything else that increases my bloodflow.. any opinions guys?

Anything can cause that, but if it was a real blled you would probably know by now. If I were you my ass would be at a decent DR or an ER and getting that shit checked out

does this have to be something bad? or can it be a strain or pinched nerve? something that is not so serious also?

this happened to me back in March, because I have no insurance I didn't see a doc. Stay away from the gym and sex ( I know it sux) for a week, and when you go back go light for a day or two to avoid that pain. I remember that pain and I'd rather get a sharp stick in the eye, Good Luck Bro

i treat people daily with herniations and disc bulges, and nobody complains of pain that severe. also the people i treathad a sever trauma causing them pain, in your case it sounds like asudden onset w/o a trauma, that throws up a few red flags in my book. get checked immediately

Same thing happend to me about two and a half weeks ago on an sd cycle. Get a ct scan, i ended my cycle got a ct scan and it came up clean. My headache came on for some reason during push exercises as well as during sex and masturbation. Anyways I was advised by some bros on AM to take two weeks off and the problem seems to have corrected itself. They mentioned something about a vasospasm maybe that'll mean more to you than it did to me lol. Good luck guys

wow i just thought it was an extreme Blood pressure headache...i got one or 2 of them now on my SD cycle in the past month...during lat pulldown for some reason...and only when the intensity is WAY UP... and usually gets "tweaked" during the last rep.. it reminds me of the pain you get when someone calls your name and u turn around really quick and ur neck has that throbbing pain for a bit..for me it runs from my right shoulder up my neck over my head and is concentrated on the right side...never really too worried about it just thought i was straining something. goes away at the end of my workout or if i lower my intensity...i guess something to think about only 3 workouts left on this stuff either way

if it is of your head, it wouldnt show the cervical spine and the nerve roots, (incase there was impingement)which possibly could be related to your pain. but ince the pain is decreasing, it probably just was a severe strain
