    Oral b-12 to increase appetite?

    I read that injecting 1000 mg of b12 twice a week will greatly increase your appetite. What about taking 300mg of b12 a day by oral tablets? How does that compare to the injectable way, or is it the same thing??

    also how many MG is 500MCG equal to?

    thanks in advance guys

    Oral B12 is not nearly as good. Just absorption rate is what it comes down to, taken orally it is not very bio-available, and you actually get a very small amount of it. Injectible is the best option, and yes it can increase appetite.

    And 500mcg = .5mg

    1000mcg = 1mg

    people shoot 1000mcg aka 1mg of b12... not 1000mg

    Also keep in mind that the body only uses a small % of B-12 anyhow.

    well my friend works at a vitamin store and can get me b12 for free without any problems...they have B12 vitamins dosed at 500MCG each pill...so if the conversion ur saying is correct, 4 of those pills (2mg) every week is supposed to increase appetite considerably? To me, it makes no sense because a ton of people take oral b12 every day without noticing that.

    Well I would suggest you take more than 4 pills per week man. When I ran B12 before I would be doing 1000mcg or more everyday.

    You can also buy it legally at the pharmacies in Canada. A 10.000mcg/10ml bottle goes for about $4 Canadian.

    Oral b12 has an absorption rate of 1%,injectable is near perfect.It does not increase appetie that will be noticeable to justify buying it,I would not even waste my money using this to cut gear,if your diet pure,this is just a waste of money.
