does the name carla van hoek(or soemthing close to that) ring a bell? iwas watching hbo autoposy last night and they went throught this case were her and her husband tortured and raped young girls. the husband got life and she was supposed to be released in 2005 because of a plea bargain mistake the cops made when they thought she was just a bystander, later they found tapes that proved she was just as bad as the husband and just as involved, did this lunatic really get released?

also to make the story better, this girl helped her husband( i think his name was paul) kill her own 15 year old sister on christmas eve, they raped her while she was unconcious

Not only that, but she was university educated while in prison and could technically get a job as a childrens counsellor now if she wanted... though I doubt anyone would hire her for it. She also tried to get the gov't to grant her plastic surgery so she could start her life fresh, but it was denied.

She lived in Quebec when she got out and actually was left pretty much alone. There was much media for the first week but it died down. She colored her hair and wore sunglasses but she is followed quite closely.
