    spin off: low carb thread

Would you actually be able to lose/lean up by going under ur required cal intake and doing the 60%carb, 25%pro, 15%fat ratio?

    any personal accounts?

Yes, even with high GI carbs mixed with fat, but that was when phsyical activity was high as hell.

If you use low gi carbs and keep calories below you will deff lose.

I hate it when people think cutting automatically=low-carb

My views have deff changed on cutting when during my last cutting phase and I deff think 60% for me atleast works just fine.

I just worked it out and on a 2500cal diet that would mean ~175g pro, 400g carbs and 43g fat. How can you gain when you are eating under BW in protein?

what diff did u notice? more muscle built/less lost? and not to mention not that shiatty feeling at 5pm

Look man to be honest with you, Ive stopped doing the whole eat 6 times a day and miss work, school etc... cause of meals, yeah I was obsessed.

I have diff goals now, I eat about 3 times a day and snack if I have a chance or If Im hungry (usually not) and workout like crazy.

Get this, even though Im not using any weights now(cept for Military presses) just Pushups, pullups, dips, swimming, sit ups, hiking, running, etc......

I am GAINING muscle because my shirts have been tighter....and people have been commenting.

It boils down to individual response, you MUST try BOTH or any "reasonable" approach and decide which one works for you best!

I think most people can gain with semi low protein intake(0.8g/ib). I have always followed the whole high protein craze but lately I have ditched it and I have seen better gains then ever.

There seems to be no scientific support either that high protein would be better for gains.

I would be more worried about the low fat. Remember you need to get the EFA's around 10-15 grams, you need to get monounsaturated fats and you need some plain old saturated fats aswell. 43 grams seems very restrictive.

right now Im on DNP and its like.
around 30% protein, 30% fat and 40% carbs and 1900-2000 kcal or so. Im eating alot of fruit.

I didnt measure antyhing during july but I estimate the ratios where roughly the same then aswell, but with less protein and more fat and more total kcal(I ate some crap food). Made awsome strenght gains during that period but put on a fair deal of fat aswell.

I think Im going to continue with a 30:30:40 ratio for a while. I used to have something like 50:25:25 betwen protein, fat and carbs. But I just dont se the need for that much protein anymore.

Everyone reacts differently. Yes the hype around protein is exagerrated I prefer around 1-1.5g/lbs thats what works for me. 0.8 would be to low for me but thats me. If 0.8 works for you then well less money spent, nonetheless I still place importance on diet.

Johan hows the DNP so far? Why didnt you do Clen? I'm still content with Ephedrine

Ive been eating out to much gotta clean up my diet

next time around im going to shoot for 1.4g/lb pro, 1.4g/lb carb then fill the rest in with fat. Something like 300g pro/carb, 55-60g fat. I get about 10-12g sat fat and like 40ish mono. I havent been supp EFA's but I try to eat 5-10oz fish ED.

Whats a good EFA source/supp out there?

just the usual. sweating my ass of and thinking "why the **** am i taking this crap"

But if there is one thing I will never touch again its Clen. There is nothing I hate more than clen. After a few runs of clen I had heart palpations that stuck around for 1,5 years!! after I stopped.

Only doing the dnp now because I am to lazy to diet properly I just want to sheed a few ibs before I go to sardinia. Not lookin to get cut, just drop the excess fat.
