    delts

I get clicking/cracking sounds from my shoulders if I for example flex the shoulder and raise my arm or if I do an armbreaking movement. I seldom hear cracking noises from my shoulders when I train with weights but if I just flex the shoulder and do a movement with my arm in the air it clicks in my shoulder. A couple of years ago I had a little pain in my shoulders but now there`s no pain. I have been to a doctor and he said that I should just continue to train and do cable movements for the shoulders and see if it gets better. I am going to start to take joint supplements.
Should I only do cable exercises for the shoulders or can I do dumbbell presses and dumbbell lateral raises? Can I do 8 - 12 reps or should I do 15 - 20 reps? Can my shoulders get better or worse from swimming?
Is martial arts like boxing and karate good or bad for the delts?

I had pain in my delts/rotator cuffs. I was advised not to stop training them just to drop to a lower weight because you need to strengthen the muscle surrounding the area. is this correct?

Will my rotator cuffs get worse if I start a martial art like karate?
It´s submission training in karate where they do armlocks so I guess that it´s problary bad for my shoulders.
I want to fight and do cardio.
