    Preparing Shots!

Just a random question but, could I prepare my shot say early in the morning, then recap it until later that night? or is that too unsafe?

Yeah, but if you can, try to avoid it. I've preloaded a couple when Ive left town for a weekend or something. No biggie.

I dont like that but some do ... as long as you switch the Pin out before you inject.. should be good to go.... I just dont like preloading... I have O C D when it comes to injects .... and over tens years now not one infection or abycess( knock on wood)

    I do sometimes also.But I don't
swap pins until Im ready to shoot.
I leave the draw pin on,until ready.

Yeah should be good to go, unless preloading for an extended period of time. IE 2-4 weeks in advance. The gear could eventually eat away at the stopper, and cause a leak,....in theory. Never had it happen but Im guessin it could. Also if switching from a draw pin to a inj pin wouldn't you still be steril cuz your pin cap should still be on and the pin would still be in its steril environment?? Just askin..

Well thats the question that i was wondering, what is the point of switching the pin when the cap was replaced back on it after drawing? beside it being duller

If your comfortable with that, then so be it.

Some dont care to waste a few cents on
swapping pins from drawing to shooting...
Some also use a larger gauge pin to make
the drawing easier, then swap to a smaller pin.

Also....I personally want a fresh pin each
and every time I shoot...call it ease of mind.

There could be bacteria on the vial you withdrew from. It's better to inject with a new pin since it hasn't had a change to "break down" the sharpness of the pin. I have injected from a pin that i used to withdraw and i noticed the difference.

    100% agree.

i wash hands, wipe area with alcohol, wipe vial with alcohol, prepare needle, make sure alcohol is dry, draw juice, switch needle, wipe inj area again with alcohol, inject (asirate).. have an infection free day.

ok, cool , i get the drift, but what happens about warming your gear up, normally do it before hand in the vial?

The stopper can and will dull your drawing pin, last cycle I use a 20 or 21 guage to draw and injected with a 23. It was a lot easier that way and by switching the pins, as dsm4life said, their can be no bacteria on the new steril pin. Good luck,
