    First Time Tanning.

Ok, so I got a free month to Darque Tan. How many days a week should I go, and how many minutes to I start off doing. I dont want to get burned, but a nice dark tan would be nice. Also, is there a certain tanning lotion I should get?

    Thanks.

All depends on what kind of bed your going into, and how sensitive your skin is. If its a 20 minutes bed, I'd suggest just going in for 10.... do 1/2 the max time, and add a minute every time.
As far as lotions, just get a cooler bronzer.

How often should I go? 3 times a week? 2?

Depends if you're prone to burning. I have fair skin, so when I start off I go for 8min every other day for the 1st week. 2nd week I do 2 10min. sessions. week 3 I bump to max 12 (this is for a capsule bed w/12min. max) twice a week.
So when you establish your base tan you can maintain it with 1 or 2 "max" sessions per week.
Always go for the good lotion, I use CT7 w/bronzers. Don't get a "tingle" or a "accelerator". Don't forget to get a good moisturizer for face and body, you will have to apply it immediately after you're done tanning. Your skin needs to get replenished. Think of it is PCT for your skin.
Try to stick with the capsule - you'll get an even tan and won't have to lay in someone else bacteria. It's easy to get Versicolor (sun spots) from tanning beds.

We no longer have the lay down type of tanning bed here and the max exposure for the stand up ones is 8 minutes. I got my base in Florida and now I just go once a week to keep it up. Im sure if I did it twice a week I would be real dark but I don't want to over tan, just want that healthy glow so I don't have to wear makeup.

    nice info. thanks.
What exactly is the capsule? I believe Darque Tan has tanning bed level1-level 5 and then they have sunless tanning, which is the most expensive.
    Heres the link:

out of those, which one is the capsule your talking about?

also, yes, im prone to burning, Im fair. Not pale, but without protection, I look like a lobster.

it's a stand up bed, some tanneries don't have them.
It's equivalent to a "Silver Bullet" level 3. also 12 min

so use tanning bed level 3, the "silver bullet".
1st week, 8 min eod, 2nd week, 10 min, twice, then 12 on 3rd, and I should have a nice base tan.

Ill probably get some of that lotion.

As for the "PCT", would a after shave work, or no? I have that Nieva for Men, and it has all sorts of moisturerizers and vitamin e, etc.

Don't shave before tanning, it strips away your natural skin oils.
Shave at least 5-6 hrs before. Don't take a shower right away, wait 3-4 hrs if possible or you'll wash away your lotion.
As far as moisturizers, anything - I use Hemp base one - just make sure it has Vitamin A. C Aloe Tyrosine and Copper.
You should get one from the tanning place, they have the best.

Nivea is ok, but you need something made for tanning.

Yup, just watch your skin in the process. Any abnormal dryness, discolorations and weird shaped moles - see a doc. Not trying to scare you, but this is worse case scenario.

Whats up with the Mystictan? The sunless tanning. Is it worth it? Or should I stay away.

maybe if you need to get tan for a date tomorrow.
I would not bother, waste of money, you'll turn orange/fake - and it will ruin your clothes when you sweat.
It's better to do if you have a base tan, does not look as fake.

Ill just stick with the Silver Bullet I suppose. And ill buy the pre and post lotions there, even though they will probably be doubled the price lol.

    i know - i fvkn rip -off!
I don't get them online 'cause they don't require safety seals, so you could be getting someones homemade yogurt...I'd rather pay $60 at the place, moisturizers aren't that much.
    Good luck bro!
